Jessica Bronson

Jessica Bronson (b. 1963 North Dakota) works primarily in moving image installation. Since receiving her Masters degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1994, Bronson has had solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Berlin and New Zealand. Her work has been exhibited in many national and international venues including Artpace, the Walker Art Center and the Pompidou. Bronson was the 1998 recipient of the MOCA/Citibank Emerging Artist Award and was awarded a 1999 Louis Comfort Tiffany Grant. In 2000, she was the Govett Brewster artist in residence in New Plymouth, New Zealand, as well as the Freund Fellow artist in residence at the Saint Louis Art Museum co-sponsored by Washington University. She is represented by Lombard-Freid Gallery in New York and Anna Helwing Gallery in Los Angeles and is a faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts. Jessica Bronson lives and works in California.
